INFORMATION LETTER
R.B.Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan invites you to participate in the International scientific-practical conference “New Kazakhstan and the Eastern World: history of cooperation, prospects and current issues” which will be held on October 22, 2022.
The purpose of this conference to provide a comprehensive discussion of the historical, cultural, socio-economic, political, religious as well as inter-civilizational and inter-cultural aspects of relations between Kazakhstan and the East countries within the framework of the implementation of the Message of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 1, 2022 “The unity of the people and systemic reforms are a solid foundation for the country’s prosperity”.
The main directions of the Conference are:
- New Eastern and Western European written, archival, oral materials, artefacts related to the history, religion and culture of Kazakhstan, the peoples of Central Asia and East countries;
- Foreign policy transformations in economic, political and cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and the East countries;
- East-West and North-South Dialogue in the context of Kazakhstan’s initiatives to strengthen security and develop partnerships with organizations such as CICA, SCO, OSCE and OIC;
- Historical, cultural and socio-economic aspects of the development of the Silk Road;
- Security of the Asian space in the face of rising geopolitical tensions and global risks;
6Assessing the implications of a changing world and their impact on Kazakhstan and East countries;
The papers of the Conference will be published and distributed in electronic form. Titles of the conference papers will be accepted until 6 October and papers will be accepted until 14 October 2022 by e-mail address: orientalstudies.kz@gmail.com; shighistanu@mail.ru.

ARTICLE DESIGN REQUIREMENTS:
Up to 8 pages, MS WORD editor, versions *.doc, *.rtf.
The name of the file should begin with the first authors name of the article.
The font is Times New Roman, font size 14.
Margins: 2 cm at the top, 2 cm at the bottom, 3 cm at the left, 1 cm at the right; spacing: 1.
The title of the article is in lower-case letters, semi-bold, in the middle of the page. Next, the author’s surname and initials, scientific degree, academic rank, name of the organization (in brackets: name of the city, country, etc.) should be spaced).
Footnotes to the used literature are given in the text of the article, as they are cited, for example: [5, с. 39]. The list of references should be given at the end of the article.
Tables should be presented in the editor MS WORD.
