Strengthening international cooperation with Korean Institute of Eurasian Turkic Studies

Director General of the R. B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies Duken Masimhanuly has met with the Director of the Institute of Eurasian Turkic Studies of Korea Oh Eunkyung.

The Director of the Institute introduced the esteemed guest to the activities and research projects of the Institute of Oriental Studies. He noted that the Institute is currently a major research centre of Kazakhstan in the field of Oriental Studies.

Mrs Oh Eunkyung, on her turn, spoke about the scientific work being carried out at their institute.

Since the Institute of Eurasian Turkic Studies is the one in Korea researching Turkic Studies, the parties agreed to conduct joint research projects on Turkic Studies with the scientists of the Institute.

During a meeting between the R.B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies and the Institute of Eurasian Turkic Studies of Korea the Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the field of academic and scientific research.

The Director General of the Institute expressed his gratitude to Ms Oh Eunkyung for her initiative in signing the Memorandum, opening the way for the development of the partnership.
