R.B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan held on November 25, 2021 the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Kazakhstan and the Eastern World: Past, Present and Future”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the R.B. Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies.
The purpose of the conference is a comprehensive discussion of the historical, cultural, socio-economic, political, religious, as well as intercivilizational and intercultural aspects of relations between Kazakhstan and the countries of the East. The conference sections are planned and the publication of a collection of materials in the following areas:
• evolution of development of oriental science in Kazakhstan and new trends in world orientalism;
• new eastern and western European written, archival, oral materials, artifacts related to history, religion, culture, language and literature of Kazakhstan and the countries of the East
• problems of interaction of cultural, spiritual, linguistic, literary political, economic systems of the countries of the East and West in the context of the national priorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership of Kazakhstan with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the Near and Middle East, Central and South Asia;
• dialogues in the context of Kazakhstani initiatives to strengthen security and develop partnerships with international and regional organizations;
• political, economic, historical and cultural aspects of the transformation of Eastern societies associated with the modern processes of globalization and regionalization;
Famous orientalists, historians, cultural scientists, philologists, religious scholars, political scientists, economists, specialists, university workers, diplomats, representatives of government bodies, business, public organizations of Kazakhstan and foreign countries will take part in the conference.
We invite you to take part in the conference and ask you to submit the text of the articles by November 15, 2021.
The working languages of the conference are Kazakh, Russian, English.
Requirements for registration:
When preparing articles, you must adhere to the following requirements: up to 10-12 pages of typewritten text in an electronic version. Times New Roman font, size – 14; line spacing – 1; justified alignment; paragraph indentation – 1 cm; sheet orientation – portrait, top and bottom margin – 2.0, left – 3.0 and right – 1.
Title design (in capital, bold letters, alignment in the center of the line) ARTICLE TITLE (in Russian, Kazakh, English); on the next line (font – bold italic, right alignment) – name and surname. fully; on the next line (italic font, right alignment) – academic title, academic degree, position, place of work, city; on the next line (italic font, right alignment) – E-mail for contacts; after 1 line – the text of the article. References in the text to the corresponding source of the bibliography should be formalized in Arabic numerals in square brackets, for example [1, p. 277]. The use of automatic paging links is not permitted.
At the end of the report, a summary is given: in Kazakh and English – if the report is written in Russian; in Russian and English – in case of writing an article in Kazakh.
The manuscript is accompanied by information about the authors indicating the last name, first name, patronymic, academic degree, rank, place of work and position, city, country, as well as postal and e-mail addresses and contact numbers.
The organizing committee reserves the right to reject reports that do not correspond to the declared subject matter and design requirements.
